Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs originally designed the Apple I to show off to their friends at computer clubs. Unwittingly, the pair began a microcomputer craze, and moved on to release the Apple II. The first Apple Computer, shown above, now resides in the Smithsonian Institution's permanent Information Technology exhibit in the Museum of American History.
