The Nintendo 64 features a 93MHz processor and dedicated 3D hardware that was derived from Silicon Graphics workstations. Although at first glance, a system like the Nintendo 64 would seem very difficult to emulate, some developers have accomplished amazing feats to emulate even this high-end system.

SixtyForce is the best Nintendo 64 emulator for the Macintosh. It has sound support, and the speeds are excellent on a fast G3 or G4. Most importantly, many games seem to work almost perfectly. (Previous versions of SixtyForce were called Mac1964.)
Mac1964 is also Carbonized for Mac OS X. It will also run--but not quite as well--in Mac OS 9.

True Reality is a great Nintendo 64 emulator for Macintosh, which supports several commercial games. Although graphics and sound still have several flaws, and speed is still a major issue on the fastest of machines, True Reality is still an incredibly impressive achievement.
