The latest version of Alcanna is accessible at site http://www.alcanna.tk in Download section. Direct link for distributive - http://www.komkon.org/~murray/Alcanna/AlcannaInstaller.exe

Use Internet Update feature. Activate Menu -> Help -> Check for new version...

I've got errors while checking updates.
Check your Internet connection. If you use PROXY you can setting up PROXY address in Alcanna.ini file. Just add key Proxy=proxy.server.com:port in section [Alcatel].

Uninstall Alcanna, get latest version from author site, install again. Its recommended to create new database using Alcanna menu. If you wish to save you old data, you could to try to open this ignoring errors, exit Alcanna and start again.

I can't connect via IrDA port.
You must setting up Alcanna for virtual COM port over IR link. for which:

1. Disconnect phone from ir link.
2. Open HyperTerminal and create new connection.
3. Check accessible serial ports (COM?) in connection properties.
4. Close HyperTerminal.
5. Connect phone to IR link.
6. Open HyperTerminal and create new connection.
7. Check accessible serial ports (COM?) in connection properties. Compare
results.
8. Set new COM for Alcanna port settings.

If you have 2 hardware ports - perhaps new virtual port will be COM3 or
COM4. But this depends of system configuration.

If you haven't differences between results - you must instal software for
support virtual COM port for your model of IR adapter. BTW, some IR adaprets can't works properly with speed more than 38400.
